Alfred, Camille and Milo are wandering around a big cliff, and Milo panics under the belief they got lost. Suddenly, he wakes up to realize that he was having a nightmare. Camille tells him to go back to sleep, and with some hesitation he does. The following morning the trio meet up with Alfred's dad, who asks them if they're ready to leave. Alfred and Camille are surprised to see that Milo is already prepared to go but they don't say much about it, other than Camille complaining over Milo making it hard for her to sleep last night.

They walk around the woods and soon realize they are lost. Milo asks if they should be back home by now, and Alfred's dad explains that he followed his compass. But for some reason it seems like it isn't working right now, it worked fine yesterday though. Milo then proceeds to panic when they do not have any food left and Alfred is curious, so he decides to hold an investigation to determine what happened to the compass. They heard a strange sound last night, and Alfred recalls that he recorded it, so he overlooks the video footage for clues.

Milo is more concerned with trying to find an escape though, inspiring Mr. Hedgehog to climb the tree and look for a path that will lead home. He ends up seeing that some of the trees are broken nearby, and Alfred determines this is clue two. Just as they reach another broken tree they hear a loud sound. It came from their Principal, Mr. Thomas. They explain how they got lost, and it turns out that he did too. Alfred asks to see the map Mr. Thomas recalls having on him just then, and Milo begins to cry after he realizes it's not in his pocket. Mr. Thomas calms him down by revealing he has food on him, and the five sit down for a quick picnic.

Alfred tries to determine what happened when Camille remarks that their answer couldn't have fallen from the sky. This inspires Alfred and he remarks that a shooting star fell from the sky. It most have hit the trees, and with some inspection, he deduces that it probably has a large amount of iron inside of it. That messed with the magnetic pull of the compass. Everyone feels better now, but Milo remarks that they are still lost. Camille suggests they can use the stars during the night in order to reach home, and Milo immediately perks up. He tries to convince them that he wasn't scared, only to spot a shooting star. He quickly makes a wish and Alfred teases him, wondering if it has to do with dinner.
